Yet another convenience has occurred that anime fans can benefit from as ABEMA is offering Made in Abyss and the entire Non Non Biyori anime series for free come the arrival of Children’s Day, quite cleverly combining happy moe content with gore and tragedy.
The free shows are part of ABEMA’s special project for Children’s Day (which is May 5th in Japan) and they can be observed via their ABEMA TV site until May 18th.
As usual, Western barbarians are unable to take part in the celebration as the streaming site’s content is denied to them.
Made in Abyss revolves around the journey of Riko, a novice diver, who explores a sprawling chasm known as the “abyss” and encounters a mechanical boy she names “Reg” – their adventures lead to unlocking the secrets of the enigmatic place and hopefully even the mystery behind her mother’s disappearance.
Non Non Biyori is far less plot-driven as it is set in the countryside village of Asahigaoka and stars five strangely unique students of the area’s only school, the slice-of-life focuses on delivering viewers cute happenings and daily activities that coincide with the moe genre.
Made in Abyss is not for children tho…
They probably didn’t even bother to actual watch it (or even do the most basic of research).
Was going to say the same thing…. Made in Abyss, just the thing for Children’s Day! /s
Letting them see that part will traumatize them for life lmao
Which part? There’s at least two of them.
I was just going to post this as well haha.
