Japanese developer Tamsoft and publisher Bandai Namco have announced a brand new console sports game based on popular Japanese soccer manga Captain Tsubasa.
The newest entry into the expansive sports franchise promises to bring high-speed, easy to learn arcade soccer action directly to consoles featuring all the outrageous moves and shots the series has been known for for so many years.

English speakers don’t care but this is pretty much the Saint Seiya of sports anime in which it’s huge on all countries that speak Romance languages (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, France, Mexico, Brazil, all of Latin America basically) but the US (and to a lesser extent the UK) didn’t care much for.
I hope the game is good. It’s been around 20 years since the last time we got a Tsubasa game outside of Japan.

That’s what was said. Tsubasa is one of those rare animes that was super popular outside of Japan but not in English speaking countries. The US I get but I don’t understand why it didn’t catch fire in the UK where they actually do love football. Same thing for Saint Seiya. Huge in every big anime market except the US/Canada and the UK.
