Sony is forcing XSEED Games to delay the PS4 release of Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal in the NA and EU in order to remove the title’s Intimacy Mode feature – although PC gamers will thankfully be able to experience the title in its full Nipponic glory.
The game’s publisher and localizer XSEED Games have issued an official statement on their Twitter account partially clarifying the situation.
Burst Re:Newal’s Intimacy Mode allows players to interact with the ninja girls by touching them all over with a virtual hand cursor as well as give them smooches among other things – all too much in the era of #MeToo and the aftermath of Kavanaugh.
Luckily, Sony’s powers do not reach Steam in any shape or form so PC users will be able to enjoy their girl-groping experience in peace and quiet.

I have less issues with a steam monopoly than having to install hundreds of launchers that keep running in the background all the time like cheap malware and browser hijackers from the 90s.

Nintendo only censors some of the games that they themselves publish. Which, while stupid, is entirely in their right to do so. Sony is specifically forcing censorship onto third parties, which is something that Nintendo hasn’t done since the SNES era in the early 90s. After the debacle of the original Mortal Kombat, they allowed Mortal Kombat II to remain completely uncensored, and haven’t forced censorship ever since onto third parties.

Just import the game from Japan, websites like Amiami stock the game series. You don’t play the game for its story so not knowing the text means f♥♥k all. Its tits all the way.
