Netflix’s bastardization of The Witcher is intent on casting Ciri with a woman of color.
A casting ad for the Netflix series (made private after the issue was raised on social media for some reason) states that they are searching for a 15-16 year old “BAME” girl (Black, Asian and minority ethnic) to play the role of Nilfgaardian princess and witcher Ciri, whose depiction in all other media has been Germanic.
Since Nilfgaard’s emperor was also formerly a cis-white male, it might also be speculated that he will be blacked too, or else Ciri will be made mixed race in order to preserve his evil whiteness in line with the proper narrative, whilst also allowing the proper degree of miscegenation.
There is the possibility of Ciri ascending to the throne in the storyline – leading to an eventual black empress of Nilfgaard, which seems to be an outcome the writers would prioritize over any other consideration.
A Tweet depicting the “diverse” writing staff and their open support for promoting open borders for nations with too many whites indicates the likely direction of the rest of the show:

Given Netflix’s overbearing efforts to propagandize in all of its terrible “Originals” – forcibly turning a character gay and masculinizing She-ra – at this point it seems anyone objecting can only expect to preserve their dignity by cancelling their subscription, as even the ability to review or see downvotes on shows has been taken away from users in recent updates.

the problem here is those fictional characters has well-etablished story and identity, and people, the audience love them for that. Do it for your original show and no one will even care. But if you dare to go against the audience and change the characters will just to shove your ideology in our throat then expect the consequences.

Surely it’s going to be watched by people, but not many of those will be readers of the novels or players of the games. When you create a character it becomes a symbol, changing the characters so much while using the pretext of “everyone united against racism” will only:
1 destroy overall ambientation. Black royalty in Poland-like middle ages? why not adding aliens too?
You can create your own world, but changing a world focused on ambientation with this will only destroy ambientation.
2 destroy the viewer number. Mostly only people who hasnt read or played the franchise will see this. Because they have modified a central character and this makes the story totally different.

Wow, was really excited for this. A Witcher series based on the books that would more than likely have good special effects. Too bad they’re throwing out the source material. I won’t be watching.
