Dragon Ball fans have been ecstatic due to the release of a new trailer for the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Broly film, which sees to the return of a villain from 2 previous Dragon Ball movies, perhaps indicating a lack of creativity on the part of the creators…
The ever foreboding English trailer revealed during Comic-con:
Japan will be graced with the film in December, followed by the barbarian lands of the west in January.
for when you run out of storys….reboot.
So I assume this will just be a movie where we wait until the last 5 minutes for UI to finally happen to end it?
Considering Broly is taking on Goku Blue on his base form… Ultra Instinct might not be enough.
Funny thing about Freeza.
He has now witnessed *firsthand* how “justified” his fear of the Super Saiyan Legend is in The Tournament of Power, how even after overcoming his weak stamina the Saiyans can still shatter Gods that can sway him like a fly.
It would be in his best interest as a villain to *eliminate* any New Saiyan he comes across, to prevent the rise of any *more*Super Saiyans….
… and yet now he sees it fit not only to *continue* recruiting Saiyans into his army, but recruiting a *Super* Saiyans who can “liquidate” his business (not to mention him) any time he wants with a rebellion.
Even from a purely business standpoint (and Freeza *is* first and foremost a businessman/crime-boss), that’s not a wise tactic is it. To have employees who will more than likely bite the hand that feeds them.
Actually hope this follows the other Dragonball Super Movie trends and gets its own dedicated arc in anime. Biggest issues I had with Broly is the lack of backstory and motivations being so paper thin.
Exactly. Now is their chance to give Broly a personnality beyond roid rage.
In the trailer we see that Freeza is involved. Maybe Broly is trying to take over his empire?
god no. they’ll just stretch out the already thin story across an entire season and use shitty animation too.
He was the legendary super saiyan but he was too powerful so his father brought him to a planet in an attempt to keep him under control. He doesn’t have any motivations beyond fighting which triggers his transformation from the meek, calm saiyan, into the uncontrollable berserker super being super saiyan; why I think his father got him off planet Vegeta.
so the new enemy is broly, what a twist………..
second season of dragon ball super is going to be 20+ chapters same as the movie
Super is over now. This either takes place after it, during it (non canon?), or sets up for the rumored new series.
