The abundance of critics claiming that the upcoming Shenmue III was looking pretty underwhelming may be reassured to know that the game has been delayed until 2019, hopefully allowing the developers enough time to make the game worthy of the Shenmue name.
According to publisher Deep Silver’s official website:
“Deep Silver today announce that their upcoming release Shenmue III has been moved and will now release in 2019. The extra time will be used to polish the quality of the game even further, to the high standards it deserves and release the product in the best possible timeframe.”
Denizens online were mostly unsurprised by this turn of events:
Shenmue III will be released for the PS4 and PC sometime in the future.
I have never understood this criticism towards delays?

The beef in that burger they were making had mold on it. they make a new one.

Nah it was just an example. For this case, it was more like i am telling u your burger will be ready by 2 minutes but gave u your burger 3 -4 hrs later with shittier taste.

In this generation of gaming? the only thing you get these days are broken pieces of s♥♥t; The last time any major game launched in the last 3 years without any major hiccups? New God of War. That’s it and that’s all.
Every major game has had some sort of stupid issue that could have been avoided , but gotta pump up those numbers and push those presales. They’ll fix it later — Maybe.

Agreed. The overwhelming majority of people who didn’t care enough to pitch a couple bucks to kickstart it probably doesn’t care that it’s delayed.

I honestly didn’t even know it was supposed to release this year in the first place. I just assumed that it was in development hell from the start.
