Sega neglects pretty much all of their major franchises. We haven’t had a proper Sakura Taisen game since 2005!
Sometime ago I bought SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics from Steam. Right now I’m enjoying Phantasy Star II. By now I may have spent more hours on it than Crysis or Mass Effect. No s♥♥t, really!
I wish that bundle gave you Phantasy Star I since that was one of the first games I ever played as a kid.
PSII was good, but PSIV was where it all came together. I replay it every couple years…it doesn’t lose its charm.
Phantasy Star II was Loooong, good but long.
easily 150 hours to finish it.
remembered on my first play-trough back in the 90’s i had 120hours on it when i was at 3\4 trough the game.
Phantasy Star IV was better game , but also several years newer so for it’s age PSII was damn good (i would say even better than Final Fantasy IV though far from VI).
and stuff was a little more “forgiving” in IV like not making you go all the way trough a dungeon just to find out that the main character needed to learn “play music” spell learned from some ghetto dude in some wayoff town.
but that was the charm of the jrpg’s of that time… you had to find out stuff the hard way.
Phantasy Star III was a strange one with its generation stuff where if you wanted to continue to be a melee you had to marry a specific girl, and mage it was an another one. story wasn’t that interesting ether.
Sakura Wars vs Idolm@ster Xenoglossia when?
Probably because PSO2 keeps shitting on everyone’s faces.
