A curious coder sifting through the Nintendo Switch’s source code has happened upon lines of data mentioning a “VR Mode”, possibly indicating that the frequently sold-out console may soon be implementing support for VR devices, an addition that will surely be welcomed by Switch owners.
Some believed the suspect lines may have been Android code but the Twitter user had this to say on the matter:
“This is not Android code in any way. This is part of the appletOE IPC interface, and it’s 100 percent Nintendo code.
I can’t confirm whether or not this works as of yet, but I’m at about a 90 percent confidence that this is at least partial virtual reality support.
I’ll know more in a day or two when I can actually test it properly.”
Many have theorized that the code may either have to do with a future update or could possibly just be left-over code from a scrapped idea, though neither suppositions are anything but speculative yet.

I bet the real VR mode on the switch is you stick one joycon controller next to your groin and then you use the other controller to start vibrating the one next to your happy place.

AR takes a LOT less power then VR does. So the switch could handle it.
We … knew about this months ago. Patents were found in the patent database for a head mounted cradle for the Switch, which works crazy well with the new HD rumble, motion controls, and such

Excuseme but in vr the only axis that lose dpi are the x axis, not the y axis, then the real reso by eye is 640px720 by eye, poor resolution but better than you saw.

Even the PSVR doesnt look that great (i have one), which is higher res than the stuff you just wrote.
So yeah don’t think for a sec that some VR mode on the Switch will look anything but very mediocre
PSVR is 720p… ill just wait until they make 4K VR… i dont like s♥♥t graphics on my face… maybe summer lesson has pixelated censorship which is why 720 doesn’t matter to you fucks
