JojosBizarreAdventure-LiveAction-Film-Official-Visual

In an attempt to squeeze out whatever little profits possible due to flopping in theaters, a massive 13-minute preview for the live action JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter I movie has emerged, with its poor performance proving shocking to few considering live action adaptations of anime have a long history of being poorly made.

The 13-minute PV which appeared only 2 weeks after the movie debuted in Japan:

The failed film generated a mere ¥166 million on 117,000 admissions, ranking only 5th in its first weekend before disappearing from the top 10 completely by its 2nd weekend – the film’s gross profits have yet to be revealed.

Japanese acting can be defined as "big ham". They overact so much and are such poor actors that 90% of Japanese real life series and over half of the movies are absolutely unwatchable. Japanese can't emote for shit and when they try, they come out as fake as fuck.

Here's the problem: By *deliberately* cutting all ties with the first three parts (not even mentioning Dio ONCE, in spite of the vampire setting the wheels of the entire SAGA in motion)), the film is born into a disjointed and confusing universe that expects you to understand an internal logic that logically dosen't even make sense WITHOUT Dio or the Pillar Men.

They made a live-action movie of JoJo and cast little boys instead of muscular men? Blasphemy.

IKR, The anime has huge men and this movie have a bunch of lady-boys. Also the manga/anime is multi-race and the movie is Japwashed

Agreed. I think Jojo is boring mainly because it's shounen. Not just Jojo most of shounen are boring the same because it's for kids.

JoJo is Seinen now man, ever since part 7 (part 6 really though). Most fans would say parts 7 and 8 are the best in the whole series.

    >300 chapters of crap
    >hasn't actually read JoJo

Yeah, you're just trying to be contrarian. Enjoy missing out on one of the greatest series of all time because you think you're cool for not liking something just because it's popular.

You can actually start off on Part 7 without needing to read the other earlier parts.
Only Part 3 really has the monster of the week formula. But some people don't mind it that much since every fight is varied and unique.

People are mainly exposed to Jojo with Parts 1 or 3, the most well known parts. But those parts aren't that great.

    @13:26

"one of the greatest series of all time"

Exaggerate. I read a few volumes of it like 20 years back and I still regret that I wasted my time on it. So, I'm not sure why anyone would regret missing out on an sub-bar kid manga that trying to drag out as long as possible to milking money. The same with Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Dragonball, Conan, Gintama, etc.

There are at least 127,425 publicized manga, doujin, LN in this world at the moment and increasing minute. And I'm already read more than 40,000+ volumes and watch more than 1,500+ of anime series with more than 20,000+ episodes at this point. I'm not sure why should I care about missing out on an sub-bar kid manga.

so you're saying you only need to read through like 300 chapters of crap to get to the good parts?

from what i know about jojo it turned into monster of the week garbage after the first arc.

Should have asked the Hollywood to do an adaptation of Battle Tendency instead, with Dwayne The Rock as Joseph. He'd be perfect.

still flopped, they had planned to make sequels but it flopped so hard that that idea is now in the trash can.

Live action adaptations of manga go back to at least the 1970s and there have been many, many good ones. Are SC staff really only familiar with Hollywood adaptations and some big name properties like JoJo? Sometimes it seems like I'm the only person who's ever watched Japanese live action movies.

Japanese live-action adaptions of anime also all suck. There isn't even a single one that is at least somewhat decent. They are all horrible.

It's alright if you never read the manga before. But I agree with Chen-04 if you read/watch the original source manga/anime/novel/etc before and then watch any live adaption, all of them are just awful.
