The highly nostalgic Sonic Mania has unveiled its Chemical Zone stage, bearing much resemblance to the original stage and likely pleasing many if not solely for including a revamped version of the original soundtrack – which was apparently produced by none other than Michael Jackson.

The stage will apparently offer new routes and a completely new “act II”; Sonic Mania will launch for the PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on August 15th.

Sega knows how to do retro
Sonic was never good.
But this game isn’t even being made by Sega directly. It’s pretty much a by-fans, for-fans deal.
It’s impressive because they don’t know how to do modern.
Sega died quality wise when their console division did. The Dreamcast had so many awesome 3D games produced inhouse.
Although not produced by Sega, Toy Commander was an amazing game.
This song was from Sonic 2, had nothing to do with Michael Jackson. Also, he didn’t produce the soundtrack for 3, he just made a small contribution. That fact sounds cool on it’s own, you don’t have to exaggerate.
