Project Rap Rabbit, an in-development rhythm game courtesy of PaRappa the Rapper and Gitaroo Man’s creators (Masaya Matsuura and Keiichi Yano), has unveiled some prototype footage to provide a general idea on how the game will function, unfortunately leaving many baffled at the non-stop barrage of incomprehensible rap lingo.
The prototype footage, which has been bashed for its rather poor rapping:
A Kickstarter is also currently underway for the game – its Kickstarter video:
While the developers are requesting a whopping $1,090,000, it seems the project may end up failing as only $181,274 has been accumulated thus far with only 9 days left to go…
I’m seeing so much lil uzi vert fan art cause of this.
This project was doomed from the start. It’s clear if they’re asking for a million that they don’t have much in the way of funding to create the game in place.
Not to mention the rewards were dreadful for the higher tier. They have no real gameplay footage either.
1 million isn’t even enough to produce a good game, kickstarters like these usually are also a way to lure investors.
The art is cute, but Parapa and Gitaroo Man had great styles to them, and Gitaroo Man had amazing music to play to and was super hard (still haven’t beat last level)
This looks horrible and sounds worse.
I’m not black enough to understand any of the lyrics, anyone of the darker persuasion care to translate?
Trolling aside, don’t know if you noticed, but neither the rapping nor the lyrics were done by a black person. They were done by Keiichi Yano who hopes that, with enough financial backing, they’ll be able to get real rappers to replace these fillers.
They should have copied Gitaroo Man rather than Parappa.
