The plot of Danmachi side-story Sword Oratoria has seemingly begun to drag, with the formidable Ais managing to grow even more powerful as the series continues to include former protagonist Bell at every possible moment – bound to have more negative viewers wishing they were watching a sequel instead.

I think it's pretty good! I haven't seen the manga but on it's own it's enjoyable with decent animation for a TV series.

I am enjoying it. It is just like the novel the story from Ais view and we are seeing what happened to Ais herself. The story is getting interesting at this last show and we actually saw a real life expression from her this latest episode.. great one! We are seeing Ais grow and not just worrying about leveling up.

Manga so much better that this shitty, low budget and rushed adaptation.

I mean, if you think the series isn't entertaining, that's fine, but as far as pacing goes, it's literally almost episode for episode following the original series. Episode six ended right where episode six of the main series did, with Aiz finding Bell's dropped arm protector. I guess you could argue that the original could have used more episodes for each novel, and there were a few spots I'd agree, but overall I felt like it was a pretty good adaptation. As for the budget, I can't see any significant difference when comparing it to the first series, and they both look pretty good. If you were expecting a movie budget for a television series, I don't know what to tell you.

They cut all inner monologues, visions, all Aiz interactions and everything that expanded her character, completely butchered beginning because, as this fight with the floor boss shown, they don't have budget even to make more 3D models, etc, etc. And all in order to rush trough the story and end with the fight in the pantry and insert some anime-original scenes.

    > If something was taken out, it may have been too long to fit in the space they had available

Filling that space with too much irrelevant yuri elf girl monologues shows an incredibly poor sense of taste.

    Shit adaptations are shit.

You mean, exactly like just about every single anime adaptation ever, because things that stop reality from proceeding like inner monologues are incredibly difficult to do in a medium that is supposed to be in real time. You can do a whole lot more on a page with still frames than you can in the seconds that page usually represents. And the goal was almost certainly to line up the two series so that they both meet up where the last ended, rather than a concerted effort to ruin the plot. If something was taken out, it may have been too long to fit in the space they had available, and deemed too irrelevant to cut something else to fit it in.

Also, remember that anime is made to sell a series' original medium most of the time in Japan, not the other way around. So as long as it's entertaining, which I believe it has been, and gets people interested in buying the light novels and manga, they've accomplished the goal of the adaptation.

Nope, she's part of Crypt Cosmic Circus. That way they'll do a cross DanMachi x SAO x AW crossover.

    Simple anime for simple masses.

No plot, no character development, not even a good OST plus average animation.

May not be the best adaptation ever but it's far from the worst. Quite enjoying it, though Ais needs even more exposure ^_-
