Teen Titans has become the next cherished childhood series to receive a fated live action adaptation known simply as “Titans”, an announcement that will no doubt have hardcore fans already anticipating the worst, though some believe there is still hope considering it is not a Hollywood adaptation based on a Japanese source.
While no information has been divulged in regards to how closely this new drama will follow the beloved original, notable co-producers such as Greg Berlanti (The Flash), Geoff Johns (president of DC Entertainment and the chief creative officer of DC Comics) and Akiva Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery) have perhaps aided in lessening negative criticism.
The live action drama will be part of a new (and currently unnamed) streaming service created by Warner Bros and DC Entertainment, sparing those still in possession of an ancient device known as a “television” the trauma that the potentially awful series may induce.
Titans will make its fateful arrival sometime in 2018.

Please don’t follow the same Zack Snyder dreary super hero movie bullshit. I like my fair share of anti hero characters (deadpool, suicide squad etc) but DC has been running it into the ground as of late.

Does it fucking matter? The Teen Titan’s are Robin and Cyborg. The other characters don’t fucking matter, and the only reason they matter is because 1 is batman’s assboy, and the other was a throw away character for 20 years that’s only important for the Flashpoint garbage.

For some reason this felt like you were thinking it’s a live-action adaptation of the cartoon. The characters existed long before that cartoon.

That’s 3 of the 5 main members of the animated series thus far.
All of who existed as Titans long before the cartoon. It’s way more likely they’re making an adaptation of the comic than the cartoon.
For a lot of people, the 2000’s cartoon is what introduced them to Teen Titans. Most people don’t even know the Titans have been around since the 60’s.
I’ve always found it odd how some people fell in love with the characters but never, in the 10 years since the show first aired, looked into the origins of those characters at all.
