While new video footage of the impending Final Fantasy VII remake has so far been non-existent, the 2017 Monaco Anime Game International Conference has managed to at least snag a couple screenshots for fans to endlessly speculate over, despite the fact that the beloved RPG is still apparently quite a ways off.
The screenshots unsurprisingly feature more of the game’s beginning area and its first boss battle:

The Final Fantasy VII remake’s director, Tetsuya Nomura, stated in an interview that he has currently been focusing a lot on the game’s new combat system and wanted to release a trailer, but was unfortunately denied – additionally divulging other small tidbits of information, such as allies being immune to grenades (ally grenades, presumably).
The Final Fantasy VII remake is slated to arrive on the PS4 at some undisclosed time in the future.

I just hope it comes out for pc, that way I don’t have to wait 30-60s for it to load like in ff15, my lord that game had some obnoxious load times.
Also the fact they are turning a game that is not even 30 hours (I did everything except hit lv 99 and master all materia) in like 28 hours. My first time thru it. Making it into 3 titles is kinda bullshit, all I can see it as is milking the stupid cattle-like fanboys. FF7 was not even that good, like FF10 its highly over rated just because it was peoples 1st jrpg, hell, even the worst Tales of game is easly better than any FF has been, both in story and gameplay. Though square is hard to beat for graphics and music, however, graphics don’t make a game good, its something square needs to learn.
Prime example: FF15, game was pretty as hell, but it was also such garbage other than graphics, the story sucked, the gameplay kinda sucked, and as i said earlier the load times were fucking horrible.
