Mahjong schoolgirl series Saki has gotten new trailers for its upcoming live action film, depicting its unique girls in their 3D forms and generating the usual hatred from those that believe all things 2D should remain 2D – though many may agree that the movie seems to not only be faithful but promising as well.
The new live action trailers:
Enthused mahjong enthusiasts and fans of Saki can expect some girl-packed tile hoarding action once the film debuts on February 3rd.
Where are Nodoka’s “assets”?
The question is, Yuri or no yuri?
Translation to reality is going to be weird. I mean it’s just Mahjong, but it’s Mahjong with super abilities.
Why no one ever mentioned that Suga Kyotaro, the sixth member of Kiyosumi Mahjong Club, is not exist in this s♥♥t. That one should be enough to make a conclusion that it’s unfaithful.
Indeed, !Kyoutarou causes me some anxiety, because the comedic interplay between him and Yuuki presented a nice counterpoint in many of the anime’s scenes. And what’s with the hulking Yuuki anyway?
Apart from that though, I caught the same sense of wonder that I did when first watching the anime, so in that respect this is a surprisingly successful first episode.
>counterpoint
That word doesn’t mean what you think it means.
Even if you completely remove kyotarou, the show still has more comedy than serious scenes. What scenes in particular does kyotarou counterpoint? Or have you abstracted it so that any form of commedy– 90% of the show, every single joke– is counterpoint?
You also don’t know what “illustrate” means.
Hmm? I chose that word to illustrate how the comedy enhanced the more serious sections by providing contrast.
Are you sure he doesn’t exist? Not appearing in the trailer and poster doesn’t mean he doesn’t exist in the movie.
Episode 1 of miniseries prior the movie is already out last week, and yes, he doesn’t exist.
No more cry~
That’s from the GTO Live Action series!
