Fuck yes, bring back Sakura Wars. But it's Sega. They will turn it into a first person shooter on rails with VR Support if they can. Because fucking up franchises is Sega's thing.

That along with every other Japanese game company on the market right now. Pretty much old news at this point, its sadly never gonna change.

Sega still has ties with RED, they worked on Valkyria games prior to Azure Revolution.

If anything I can see them doing an Idolm@ster thing where there's more focus on the theatre stuff and directing the girls in the shows.

i have been on the JP PSO2 since just before episode 2 and its episode 4 now. With ARKSlayer and the Tweaker translation everything is in english - the menus, weapons, story, store clerks the whole shebang is compeltely playable. Even throw down on some Cash Lottery items every now and then its perfectly playable. Its like they took everything from the exploration of PSO1, the Cool Matrix inspired skills and magic attacks of Universe, and action like any jumping dodging action platformer with RPG leveling and Skill progression trees to choose from.

Yeah I used to play too, sadly.. I don't have access to the device I had that mobile game on, I used to use it to buy cash shop funds thru it, since it let you buy it from anywhere. Can't exactly contact them for customer support either lol.

I would be so, so happy if Sakura Taisen came out with English text. The tactical combat and social aspect would go down really well today. Visual novels are really starting to take off in the west now. It's a really good time to release them on something like Steam as they have done with Neptunia.

I'm just over here petting my copy of Illbleed dreaming of the creator's ghost dropping a fully developed script for the game on Sega's development desk.

You know, its amazing how many people voted for Bayonetta, considering SHE'S NOT A SEGA CHARACTER!

Sega merely published the games. Platinum Games owns Bayonetta.

On one hand, I'm a bit dismayed that OUTRUN, my top Sega franchise, doesn't feature in these polls.

On the other hand, Sega probably wouldn't be able to afford the Ferrari license again without someone (maybe Nintendo?) backing them up (likely in exchange for console exclusivity) and I wouldn't want a new OUTRUN game without Ferrari in it.

I bought an Xbox original simply because it has a superior 60 FPS version of Outrun2. Not for Halo that came second. Then later outrun2006 of course. Lately there is no outrun 3 - closet was Sega All Star Racing Transformed with a secret OutrunBay Race Course that is stage 1 of Outrun2 in a loop.

I have 2006 on PS2 but I also bought OUTRUN 2 for XBox, which I had to play on my 360 because I didn't have an original XBox but there's a fatally-annoying audio glitch when playing it on XBox 360, once you get the screeching tire noise looping it never stops, even if you start a new game.

I eventually got an original XBox from a Value Village thrift store for ~$10 although I later found out that one reason it was such a low price is that it has a tendency to "freeze". So, basically, if I want to play the XBox version of OUTRUN 2, I either gotta cope with the screeching tire loop or random freezes.
