A new PV has arrived for the upcoming live action TV drama planned for the Yakuza series, disappointing some fans as the drama will apparently only feature original characters, leaving the franchise’s well-known characters to merely be mentioned through dialogue.

The PV, revealed during Sega Fes 2016:

A new trailer for the upcoming Yakuza 0 was also unleashed:

Those unperturbed by the fact that the drama will likely have little relevance to the original material can look forward to watching anyway it on November 30th.

    I think it is a good they went with original characters.
    Rather than trying and failing at recreating the beloved characters.

    Just base it on the same universe is good enough for me.

    What I would hate even more is to see some whimpy kid trying to be Kiryu.

    And some ridiculous shit works better in games and serious shit works better in movies.
