Highly revered animated film (and now potential Oscar nominee) Kimi no Na wa has been discovered to have used famous Japanese locations as inspiration for some of its backgrounds, surprising few considering how common such an approach has become for anime nowadays.

    Can someone tell me where images 1 and 2 are? The stairs with the red railing? Going to Japan in April and I would love to get a picture there with my girlfriend. Just kidding I am going alone but I'd still love to get a pic there.
