Still reserving judgement untill its actually released, I just hope that people are starting to realize pre-ordering games is bad. HOPEFULLY this demo is part of an old build of the game.

These aren't bugs. They're easter eggs unintentionally discovered by the player.

The 60fps patch for the PS4 Pro sounds interesting. But I'd rather wait and uncap my FPS if there's a PC version.

Not sure which would bother me more.
Ocean changing color into eye-raping pink.
Or fact that I'm only given a bunch of incredibly handsome guys to play with.

I'll add a third point, the only 2 female characters in the game planned to be playable, are ugly as cow poop.

If they were more attractive than poop, people would bitch about them being "objectified". Although I am sure they will bitch anyway.

They will probably make the others playable as DLC, like Zestiria did.

And so, we inevitably can mention two groups, with their filthy convictions, regarding girls in games.

I've been playing it for around 10 hours now and I still haven't come across any bugs or glitches. Not to say they aren't there or that I won't if I keep playing, but I'm curious--has anyone figured out how to trigger some of them?

Isn't it good the bugs appear in the demo?
    Rather than the finished product?

    Legit question.

The problem is that demo is short for "demonstration". Bugs are usually rooted out in alpha and beta stages.

Don't count Bethesda into this fold, they release games with bugs intentionally so that playerbase could fix it for them for free, hell, they even pay for the final product nearly 60$.

Why bother hiring testers or fixing bugs when you can sell the game as is, people buy it and test it for you, and you can fix the bugs over the next few years at your leisure, with your free testers worshipping your kindness for every patch you slowly release.

Not recently, more and more companies are releasing games with a huge amount of bugs, and will continue to do so if people dont group together with petitions, instead of just bitching on the forums

Gugs are NEVER rooter out in the alpha and beta stages. Bug squashing has always been the last thing you do when you program. Making sure you have all of the features implemented takes precedence over anything else.

Not a bug, Noctis just walked into a gay bar.

Still think this looks like a big waste. It makes more sense to me to be able to enjoy a huge open world with the main protagonist being a character of your own creation, and not a bunch of preset characters that most people probably won't like or care about.

"Create your own charater" RPGs have the crapiest stories. There's not one RPG I can think of that has a story anything close to RPGs with preset characters.

An even if the there is anything like a story, they are almost always weird mute protagonists that simply do no fit in the world compared to the highly detailed and talkative NPCs.

For every one of those there are Witcher, Deus Ex, FFVI, Chrono Trigger.

Preset Characters allow for story, not to be confused with backstory.

The thing to keep in mind though, is that just because something has a trend for being shit, doesn't mean it can't be done well.

Sometimes it's just a matter of people not being able to imagine how something could be better, until someone does it.

There are also a few good RPGs with silent or create your own character protags. Chrono Trigger and Skyrim come to mind. Can't remember anything else.

Well, how about you give some examples of preset characters being vastly superior to the best examples of silent/create-a-character protags?

I actually despise most preset protags because they tend to be assholes, jerks or idiots, so I can't think of any good ones right now.

Game with a preset PC can still offer freedom of choice, see Witcher 3.

Yeah, but I personally don't like Geralt. He's one of those characters who always talks in a growly voice no matter what, and I can't take that seriously. You also can't pick dialogue choices that he wouldn't consider.

My only qualm with this, would be lack of female characters in the party.
Otherwise, considering their looks, it feels a bit like a bunch of slightly confused teenagers with hidden sausage party agenda.
