It's the cheapest move to convince people to buy the game, chopping off the game content and selling it as pre-order "bonuses", fucking disgusting.

Not yet. Still the best companies recognize the base game must be solid, and the DLC is just peripheral. Tales games are all outfits. Mass Effect's DLC for example is something I more than was happy to purchase for $14.99, I never thought I'd say that, but its Citadel DLC was not a core part of the main game in any form, it was entirely a filler arc, but was the funniest shit I've ever seen, using every running gag formed in the entire trilogy brilliantly.

That shit deserves my money any day.

It's sad. Since gaming became mainstream most of game companies in this era just all about squeeze money out of their customers as much as possible. It's one of the reasons why I quit paying full price and buying games less and less each year.

I fear for the day when all the best gear, bosses and endings will be DLC only. We'll look back and say "Remember when they only put recolors and useless shit as DLC?"

It really is annoying looking at these DLCs, they all look like small aspects that should be included in the base game.
Seriously minigames were part of what made ff7-9 some of the greatest in the series imo. So having to get the minigames as extra content sucks!
Even worse is the insecurity of what dlcs will be made and at what cost they'll be sold at.
Sure a big game with 2 expansion packs = Fine with me but all of these small bit money graps are almost as disgusting as the mmo buissness. (If any game cost a pay per month fee 5 € should be the max value a month, else people will end up slaves to their money)

This is ridiculous, if this continues someday you gonna need to buy even the game engine and the permit to use it per month

I'd buy the shit out of it on Steam. On the console... not so much.
