The tasty new season of restaurant anime WWW.Working! has continued the legacy of the previous iteration’s dedicated workers, with the new cast boasting an equally quirky set of traits that will hopefully allow watchers to easily forget about the old characters that they had come to know and love.
Omake:
What the f♥♥k…, is this s♥♥t!??
something intimidating for you
i’m a little distraught over the fact that this time, A1 decided to use some weird glitter effect for the characters’ irises. the animation quality is still lacking like working s3. where in the world the team that made working s1 & s2 go?
I got a bunch of nice PVC’s from this series. It was from a store that was closing in Burbank.
This is fine. And c’mon, don’t you think the old cast was kinda played out, after three seasons? Not much more you could do with them. It’s funny, I watched all three seasons as they aired but I never thought of it as a must see. It was on the list so I DL’ed. It wasn’t BAD per se, just meh.
I hope they aren’t as heavy-handed with the tropes as the previous series.
_______
I think I spotted Souta in the background of an early scene, so there may be cameos… but it IS a new cast and location. I can understand true Working fanboys getting upset – it’s not what they are used to and want their old friends back.
I felt the same way with Mikawa-ki no Kufuku. Even though the Lucky Star gang were featured in the OP and made brief cameos, I was always wishing they had just made a series of Lucky Star shorts. Still, that didn’t stop me from enjoying Mikawaki-ki for what it was, or stop me from liking the new characters.
Change is inevitable.
(That being said, Yoshika Miyafuji had DAMN WELL BETTER show up as a transfer member of the 502nd JFW in this winters Brave Witches or I will be most upset. LOL)
http://www.working is based on a spinoff web comic that chronologically, made by the author before working!! and yeah, it focuses on a different wagnaria branch. in the manga, some of the casts made cameo appearances in each other’s series.
as for the original casts, there’s a sequel manga titled working re:order that continues right off after season 3 of the anime
I always dreamed of owning a place like that with desserts from around the world. It’s a fun series.

Is it still the same “shy girl punches someone” one joke show as before?
It’s the best pun.
nope, this time it’s ‘extroverted girl blatantly punches anyone she didnt give a s♥♥t for’.
nope, this time it’s ‘girl blatantly punches anyone she didnt give a s♥♥t for’.
No but the new main love interest is also violent
That s♥♥t was overplayed.
That was the intention, it was ‘overplayed’ but the characters appropriately reacted and grew to the fact that nothing was changing, or at least their perceived nothing was changing. The timing was actually quite good, once you finally are like ‘dammit, bitch! Stop!’ they then have something acknowledging it and growing. Which was excellent work.
