these atelier games are quickly becoming my favorite series for being consistently good every game. they arent super crazy amazing or anything, but its nice to be into a long running franchise and never being disappointed because you know exactly what youre buying into.

The Atelier games started getting better around the end of the PS3 generation.

Atelier is aimed at girls, I've always liked the art books. The soundtracks are not bad at all.

I miss the Atelier Iris series back on the PS2 more. I played a few of these new Atelier games, I think they are ok but they are def more light hearted which isn't bad but my main complaint that I don't enjoy is the constant time limits set on everything you do. if they took that away from the series I'd enjoy them more.

    No, but games can be.

E.g. Atlus region locked Persona 4.

Persona 4 is not a PS4 game. Not the main game, nor the remake, nor the spin-offs were ever released on PS4.

Therefore your point is pretty much invalid.

Think he means Persona 4 the fighting game versions, which are one of the only recorded PS3 games that is region locked.

The example was for a game from PS3, but the region locking rules are the same.
Region locking is not forced, but the publisher can choose to apply it.
