Yes,the time has come for a sore loser, unattractive friendless being named "me" to self insert myself into this piece of mmorpg crap and then strives hard to become the greatest swordsman with maxed out stats, plus 2 years worth of semen to be filled into a group of cute mmorpg girls, assuna included.

Why did i cry after typing this?

I'm in the same boat. I just finally stopped letting it kill me inside. I have come to except that people really don't like me. Maybe you guys will have more fun.

Don't give up! Get fit, bro. You can still try to be Kirito in real life.

OP was done by Windia, or did I read that wrong? Either way, this musical style seems much more similar to something Nihon Falcom would have in their games, rather than Bandai Namco.

I like SAO... but as far as game openings go this was kind of bland really, not sure how 4 sword swings from kirito in the whole thing is considered "captivating" combat either XD
rly wish they'd make a more high paced less dating sim like SAO game for once though, that'd be great :D

Agreed, I'm hoping Castle Aincrad is a whole lot more fleshed out than it was in Infinity Moment / Hollow Fragment too; not to say the battle system in that was horrible.

SAO is harem with a little bit of story attached. Introducing new girls every 5 minutes and forgetting the existing ones is a staple of the novels.

That's a lie. First, Kirito has five girls in his harem: Asuna, Shinon, Suguha, Silica, and Lisbeth. You can stretch it to seven if you include his daughter and Sachi, a long dead character. Either way if you divide the runtime of the series by five, you will get a number much higher than seven. They don't introduce a new girl every five minutes. Not even close. Heck, for the entire Gun-Gale arc, Shinon was the only relevant girl.

Second, the girls aren't forgotten unless they die. Take Silica, probably the girl with the least screen time, and notice she appears in sword art, in the real world, and in the fairy world; she is introduced in the first season and appears in the end.

You can hate the show, fine. At the very least, however, hate it for what it is in truth, not for what it is in your delusions.

Why do people hate SAO so much? I just finished watching it today and it was pretty good.

Most of the people who hate it only watcht he anime. Kirito for one is stupidly overpowered in the anime, while in the light novels he's no where near as strong, in fact iirc the girls help out a ton more insted of kinda just being there doing nothing like in the anime.

That said the light novel is miles better than the anime. IMO though, after the very first arc the series went kinda meh, without the fear of death there its kinda boring. Though I guess the GGO arc had it until you found out how it "worked" EG it had little to do with the game GGO.

The next arc Alicaztion is supposedly pretty good though.

blame the fairy arc. that arc alone sealed its fate and it's deserving of hatred beyond imagination.

all we need is merciless destruction of SAO from existence

Because it's bad to mediocre at best and yet many people worship it like their lives depend on it.

SAO games are awfully mediocre, even more so than the anime. They honestly aren't even trying when they make them. Throw in few poorly thought of battle mechanics and a few random series references and bam, cash comes flowing.

Same could be said about most anime like dbz, fairy tail, one piece, naruto etc. I call them plotless wonders, all 4 of those series i mentioned all have the same plot repeating every arc. bad guy shows up, bad guy usually kicks main chars ass, but for some reason doesn't finish him off, main char gets up, trains goes back to have a overly long fight where insted of using his new power right away to end it, he spends 3-5 eps fighting only to use his new thing as a last resort to end it, rinse and repeat.
