Not long after Japan’s supposed “first” death incurred by the deadly game, Pokemon Go has apparently claimed yet another life as a Vietnamese woman in her twenties was struck by a car driven by a Pokemon hunting driver.
The woman was riding her bicycle when struck by the reckless driver, with the culprit telling police that he was looking away at the time of the collision because he was attempting to charge his phone (as a result of playing Pokemon Go so much), a “serious dilemma” that apparently could not wait until he was stationary.
Initially arrested on suspicion of negligence resulting in injury, the Pokemon Go player has now been cited with negligence resulting in death, an event that may unfortunately become ever more frequent due to the game’s enduring popularity.
