A trailer for the latest entry into the Metal Gear series – Metal Gear Survive – has been amassing a catastrophic amount of opprobrium online due to its zombie theme, with some even claiming the game to be a disgrace to Hideo Kojima’s name (despite him no longer even being with Konami).
Metal Gear Survive will apparently be a 4 player co-op game based around survival (hardly an original concept) and is set immediately after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, with the inclusion of zombies no doubt baffling many fans not just due to their blatant overuse in recent years but also their irrelevance to the series overall.
The controversial trailer, revealed at Gamescom 2016:
The few individuals excited for Metal Gear Survive can look forward to its release sometime in 2017 for the PC, Xbox One and PS4.
Kojima start a kickstarter for money to allow you to buy back the metal gear license PLEASE!!!
Hey it’s not April fools today…
Konami preparing for a small lone of a million dislikes
Jim Sterling said it all about this game. A perfect “#FucKonami” move pulling off the cash-grab in most generic and blatant theme possible, not giving a s♥♥t for their IPs.
