Berserk Musou “Bloody Tame!”

Numerous watchers of this latest Berserk Musou PV have expressed slight disappointment with the game’s less than stellar approach to visual effects, an element where the game could have bloodily shined considering the Berserk series is known for its highly gruesome visuals and gory violence.

The new PV for the seemingly bland Dynasty Warriors clone:

Those not in need of originality in their gaming fix can look forward to Berserk Musou arriving on PS4, PS3 and Vita on October 27th, with a western release aimed for sometime in the fall.

like that new anime? no thanks. It's much better to just have the Manga if they're going to make the new stuff look bad.

with that being said, I actually think this game looks cool. but there's 2 major problems with it: The musou fighting style doesn't fit anyone other than Guts, and the lack of gore (though to be fair, that's the CERO's fault.)

Unfortunately, Berserk is the ONE series that needed to have a game made in America. where there's pretty much no limits to the amount of blood and gore that can be shown.

Every Berserk game starting from the Dreamcast was like this. The textures are nice.

I haven't tried many Musou games, but I think it depends.

I remember Samurai Warriors boring the hell out of me, but Dragon Quest Heroes was more interesting because it has other objectives like protecting stuff, instead of just killing enemies.

This game doesn't look like it'll be much fun, to be honest. Not because there probably won't be any interesting goals, but because it just doesn't look very good.

Maybe that will change, but I hear warning bells when I see shit like glowing blue crap on regular sword swings in a Berserk game.

I've never played a Musou game, so I'm looking forward to this. And besides, the Berserk game for PS2 was basically a hack and slash. You go through each level hacking through hundreds of enemies to get to the end.

I think it has to do with it being relaxing and easy with a progression system to scratch that grind itch.

Some of them are a lot better than the others, it sucked for kamen rider ;-; it feels like you're hitting thin air in comparison to the Hokuto no ken musou game which was entertaining and badass

Which does not say much considering it and the Golden Egg movies looked like Garbage.
How come the japanese can make awesome CGI movies for games since the 90th, but fail so much at CGI for an anime.

Because it tends to be done by shit studios who can't do it properly. There are some JP people who are really good at making 3d look 2d, but there seem to be a lot who are terrible at it.

Most people in general still don't seem to grasp the concept of 3d camera FOV/perspective.

Hardly matters how many hits it takes if the enemies just stand there like fucking morons.

If done properly, it could be. Obviously he shouldn't be able to hit that many enemies at once and the enemies need to be actually challenging to hit.
