Because they only know of Zilla, who isn't a true Godzilla.

    2014 remake was better.

Less of a remake, more of an American reboot.

Flipping hell man can we get a trailer with godzilla actually doing shit instead of just walking around getting shot at? This showed nothing new except for more boring actor human scenes...

The Hideaki Anno vibes are strong in this one.
Lets hope the movie is not turned into an overly complex philosophical reflexion.

Why not?... actually all modern sci-fi movies are a bunch of stupid jokes and magic CG lights everywhere without nothing of interesting plot or even a serious guion indeed.

Why? Answer is simple, because Evangelion.

Eh, I watched Evangelion movies and the breast sizes are pretty much unchanged.

And the fact that the recent Evangelion remake things were more or less just Michael Bay films for all of their depth. More expansive fights! Bigger boobies! Even less coherent plot! Progress!

I hope the movie is better then the trailers. So far the best thing about both trailers has been the music.

Godzilla himself looks terrible. In all the shots in this trailer, he looks like a statue, and unable to move. His arms are little tiny shriveled up toothpicks. His beedy eyes and short snout make him look more like a Titan then Godzilla. Then there is his tail, which is HUGE. And in the end when he is roaring, he looks like a sock puppet. At least he will blow some purple fire.

I want this movie to be good, but these trailers are terrible.

I do wonder, I mean I agree that this movie kinda looks like it's going to be boring for a Godzilla movie. I think they are trying to go for the original theme in which Godzilla was made, except make him more terrifying than the original. I can't say whether or not they succeeded. I get the feeling this version will die at the end of the movie, which honestly may be best, since I don't think this one is going to do very well.

Bring back the guy in the rubber costume. Those were the best ones and much more entertaining.

This one is a guy in a rubber costume. They're using CG for other effects that would look shitty if they used props or practical effects.

There's also a sequel to the American 2014 movie coming out this year. That's the CG Godzilla you're thinking of.

I always thought the original Godzilla movies were corny and campy as hell. This seems to be corny and campy as hell as well.

Actually even the nostalgic fans are pretty horrified at this one. It has escaped nobodies notice that this new Godzilla is neither a Hollywood CGI gekko, nor a traditional dude in a rubber suit. But is instead what looks like a hand puppet being dragged along on rails. Notice how you never see it walking in the trailer? Yeah it looks awful. Like The Asylum saturday afternoon on SyFy awful.

It looks like somebody make a hand puppet of a burnt tree, drew red lines on it and called it a day. And then someone else stuck a six foot long tail on the three foot tall puppet and giggled before running off.
