An informative animation has chronicled the history of the revolutionary invention that is instant ramen, a product that helped stave off hunger during the late fifties and subsequently causing the food to become an ill-regarded global sensation.
The stylish animation, replete with English subtitles:
Noodle manufacturer Nissin (founded by the legendary instant noodle inventor himself, Momofuku Ando) will be maintaining the “samurai noodles” theme for future projects in celebration of the company’s 60th anniversary come 2018.
The animation is beautiful. I watched the last scene with the mountain rock like five times.
I still don’t understand why Japanese insist on using sticks instead of forks and spoons, which are OBJECTIVELY more comfortable.
Don’t be silly, mankind has never invented any kind of manipulation tool that surpasses hands! It’s an OBJECTIVE fact!
By the way, the japs use spoons, the chinese kind.
OBJECTIVELY? WTH u talking about… just take noodles as an example. with forks it is much harder to eat ramen. either u twirl(which sucks) or u lose half of the picked up noodles. with chopsticks u can pick and eat…
orrrr… you’re like the rest of us, who try and pick up noodles with chopsticks, and end up, at best, picking up ONE noodle… and that’s if we can manage to make it to our face.
hook, line and sinker boys
first ist read it as r♥♥e and was like
what the eff does r♥♥e have to do with ramen
but then I realized my mistake and was like
what the f♥♥k does rap have to do with ramen
Also read it as r♥♥e at first. I blame SanCom…
Samurai fucking Noodles… Japan makes some interesting commercials, and this one was surprisingly enjoyable.
I never saw any samurais fucking noodles here.
I somehow imagine a Samurai Noodles anime featuring Samuel L Jackson speaking terrible terrible Japanese.
That…huh. I actually wish that was longer.
