The Tokyu Toyoko train line (which terminates at Shibuya Station) has become part of Dragon Quest’s 30th anniversary as the revered RPG’s theme will now play upon train departure, bound to be a treat for long-time Dragon Quest fans and likely a nuisance for everyone else.
The musical jingle in action:
The celebratory event will persist until September 12th, meaning passengers not enthused by the possibly bothersome tune will unfortunately be forced to suffer for a few months…
I wish the artwork of the game is the same as in the thumbnail….. -_-
Damn, those stations look way the hell more safe than the open platform / direct track exposure we do in my city. Bet that barricade wall costs almost nothing.
Wow. First time I’ve seen train platform safety walls.
Maybe they were inspired by Steins Gate~
As much as i love dragon quest, this feels like a bad way of promoting/celebrating it.
Having ur theme play in a place it gets drowned out by other noise constantly while slowly getting more irritating by constant repetition XD
Preeeeeetty much… many people will have their enjoyment of this theme utterly destroyed because of it if they are late for their train.
