An email sent out en masse to Resident Evil “ambassadors” has revealed that the Resident Evil 7 demo has been downloaded over 2 million times world-wide within only the first week of its availability, naturally causing many to hope that the full game won’t be a complete disaster…

The email that was sent out:

Many have theorized that more information is slated to come on September 15th, (as the decapitated appendage has been supposedly pointing towards), which is when the Tokyo Game Show is to start.

Resident Evil 7 can summon the dead come January 24th for PS4, Xbox One and PC, the demo can be downloaded now.

The demo was absolute horseshit and I predict an utter shitstorm brewing over at Crapcom.

    Absolutely this.
    1. It's not really scary.
    2. It's just their old kitchen tech demo packed as a "Resident Evil 7 demo"
    3. The demo isn't really polished and thought into. So the finger very very likely never actually had any purpose. For that reason since it got so "popular", they are pulling an update of the demo out their ass to make it logic and with some brought up connection.

It's neither a good horrorgame so far, and definetly not a good Resident Evil. Likely mostly overhyped shit this year, right after VR-Bullshit-Hype-Train.

So Capcom confirms you can't do anything with the finger lmfao. There are people who have spent 10s of hours trying to solve this secret hahahaha.

There was some recent news that the finger is going to be used but that is probably on another upcoming demo.

Could be one of those things where the demo has more and more things unlocked as time goes on. Like atm we have version 1.. then version 2... and finaly version 3.... depending on how the demo is recieved.

I remember reading somewhere that if game demos were brought back aggressively for PC games piracy would slowdown.

Yeah, along with sales, because people would be less willing to buy crappy games overhyped and shilled to death by marketeers.

I read somewhere that twenty minutes of action should not destroy a life like mine, therefore we could rape and not get punished!

I sometimes wonder what people have gone through in life to be able to write stupid shit like this.

A high number of DEMO downloads is not an indicator of projected SALES. Capcom needs to get over themselves and realize that people wanted to know what the hell they were getting themselves into. All I can say is: RE fanboys, prepared to be disappointed.
