Funimation has released a PV for the 3 Rurouni Kenshin live action films that are slated to arrive in western/US theaters this year, showcasing brief glimpses of the franchise’s fanciful swordsmanship that will surely capture the interests of violence-coveting westerners.
The PV for the films, which will debut with English-subtitles to keep their “purity” intact:
Rurouni Kenshin: Origins will play in theaters from August 8th to August 10th, while Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno will make its debut from September 12th to September 14th and Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends will conclude the trilogy starting October 3rd until October 5th.
Too late, readily available on usenet. Very solid movies, too. While I haven’t read the original manga (Looked a little too shoujo for me), these movies tell a good story in a satisfying way.
South America is already showing them on cable tv. Kinda late for ‘murriken
Old news , would be nice if they were up to date with things
Just to make a correction: The live-action movies already were licensed in many western countries before, as they were licensed in Latin America and Europe before being licensed to the U.S. so the correct title should be “heading the the U.S. instead” rather than the good old “the west in the U.S.” thing.
Heading west generally means to the United States , just as heading to the land of the far east usually means Asia. heading west has been known to indicate United States for over 100 years , need to learn your history a little bit.
Only in the states and only for egocentric nationalists. In the rest of the world “going west” means that, not going to “the far west” or any s♥♥t like that.
Greece counts as west the same as Brazil.
Go Himura! Show those stupid r♥♥e-loving brainwashed barbarian devotees of “joe-pee-pee-maltin’s play-of-chairs” what a REAL Warrior is!
