Voltron’s Blazing Sword Forged In All Its Glory

ManatArms-Voltron-BlazingSword-1

ManatArms-Voltron-BlazingSword-2

The next greatest blade to be forged by the ever competent blacksmiths of Man at Arms has been none other than Voltron‘s mighty Blazing Sword, unfortunately being of a significantly smaller size than the original portrayal so that puny humans can better attempt to wield its power.

The fabulous forging:

It looked damn cool to me when I was younger, but now, it looks like a glorified can-opener to me...

They should really do the Power Ranger's Megazord sword. The original one that is.

It's nice, but in general I find their videos with bladed weapons to be less interesting. Main reason being they make like 3/4 if not more of their videos of swords & Dagger variations, which is unfortunate with the amount of alternatives that existed.

Well that's a retarded, impractical sword if I ever saw one, would work better as a fork than anything else.

its usually handled by a giant ass robot. For the human anatomy this is completely unsuitable as a weapon.

It's not even suitable for a giant robot, if you wanted to cut through and impale stuff, why would any thing (human or not) use a sword like that?

Man at Arms usually makes movie/show/video game weapons and wall hangers, so of course it won't be a durable sword, or a practical sword. As long as the weapon looks like the source material that should be all that matters in a show like this. It's not like these swords are actually going to be used as killing tools. That's what my warspike longsword sharpened with a diamond wet stone is for.

Please post here links to videos of your own blacksmithing expertise. I'd like to see how a real professional such as yourself compares to Man at Arms. So far I've thought Man at Arms seems pretty competent, so it would be interesting to watch an eyeopener.
