Revered J-pop/metal band Babymetal have been mercilessly disrespected during their acceptance speech at the Kerrang! Awards in London, earning the disruptive Benji Webbe a great deal of hatred online from the band’s abundance of loyal followers.
The upset occurred as 18-year-old Suzuka Nakamoto began her acceptance speech for winning the “Best Live Band of 2016” award, with award presenter Benji Webbe – singer for Welsh band Skindred – deciding it was OK to constantly interrupt her (although many may well regard the event as vastly overblown):
Soon after his misdeeds, the singer then took to Twitter to deliver a “heartfelt” apology that many obsessed Babymetal fans have been finding difficult to accept:
A few of the comments that angered fans have sent in reply:
Despite the inconsiderate actions of the perhaps jealous has-been or never-was, Babymetal managed to handle the minor incident quite positively – something that could not be said of the band’s ravenous fans.
Never even heard of this guy.
Never let a black man do white man’s job, rude fuckers.
Yep, messing with the yellows is the white man’s job!
This has nothing to do with race, every race has it’s share of rude people with bad manners.
some race just happen to have more rude people within their own population. Don’t give me the linear distribution bs. Listen to the song they write and love, listen to the way they speak, see them how they teach their kids, see what they do most of the time. I am sorry to say it’s that black are relatively more…idk how to put it… just say most of them don’t understand proper manner. No saying most of them are evil people but they are rude and they don’t even realize it.
True, but the scale of what is considered rude hugely differs.
This is the second case where a black person rudely interrupts someone accepting a reward. Being black isn’t the cause, but you can’t deny there’s a correlation here.
They’re so cute.
I think he actually wanted to f♥♥k them, instead of f♥♥k with them.
If you need the words “f♥♥k” and “babymetal” to describe it, I’d definitely want to do it!
An idiot being aan idiot : nothing new nder the sun.
And Kerrang awards are just like the Grammies, not an award at all (Homer sez)
