A recent announcement has confirmed that Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors will be making its way to the west, while unfortunately being slammed with yet more censorship in the process, though many are hoping that the release will still have at least some degree of worth.

Criminal Girls has never been about fanservice alone. Tons of lewds do lewd better than this.
Its about the emotional bonds and NISA always runs over them. Turning the game into a lame lewd slideshow. And a bad one too.
In you don’t do JP you’re out of luck though. I loved the first and am waiting for the “VITA the best” price drop on JP ver.
I’m not sure how these people think when making decisions like this, getting rid of the fanservice in a game that relies heavily on fanservice for sales, nobody is gonna benefit from doing that, not the players, not the devs, not the publishers.
I’m guessing they want to lower the age rating, but that just means they are unsuitable as a company to handle games like these.
Despite the description of its release on this site (which seems deliberately tongue-in-cheek), the game is still built around fan service. It’s just fan service that keeps it within an M ESRB rating.
NIS is aiming for an M rating, which means altering content to suit the ESRB’s standards. It’s not the company that unsuited to localize the content, it’s the industry as a whole and their adherence to ESRB standards.
You would have to be stupid to believe an obvious lie since they do lie all the time about this. Many times ESRB employees say they never got contacted by NNISA for approval.
