I love the series with such a passion but why must they keep putting it on handhelds, soo much potential wasted by not being on PC/Console just pains me knowing it could be so much better.

There is a PC game, just not in the west. And this is one of the few types of games that are ideal for handholds. Hunts take on average 20 mins so it is great for a lunch break or commute.

I dunno. I'd say the type of game that's ideal for handhelds is something you can quickly pick up, get immersed in, and then put down when you need to. MH isn't this. If you're fighting a monster, you're committed for 15 to 45 minutes, depending on various things, and sometimes hunts take longer than expected.
"Breaks up johnny." "But I have to kill Rathalos."
"Too bad." Not my Idea of an ideal handheld game.

MH is on handhelds because that's where the Japanese market is, not because it's anymore or less suited to handhelds than consoles.

Both 3DSs, but I'd recommend the new one for higher res textures, better frame rates, and easier access to hunter arts.

of course. They renamed it to Generations because it makes more sense Than "X" to the west to the type of MH game it is.
