Megaman illustrator Keiji Inafune has dabbled with the absurdly popular Super Mario Maker, creating a level that his legion of hardcore fans will no doubt be excited to try out while also sure to be a source of insight for those looking to improve their level design skills.
Keiji Inafune and his level:
Those curious to try out Inafune’s level can do so via the level code: 780C-0000-020E-166A.
And soon it will be deleted by Nintendo without any explanation or reason.
Pretty underwhelming level, honestly… Nothing particularly creative about it.
I was disappointed when I failed to see any of those horrible disappearing platforms I resent him for.
His coin placement is all over the place. It’s understandable, seeing as megaman games never had placed collectibls like coins, only hidden powerups/currency. Some of the jumps are tight, but his overuse of phiranna plants is a bit cringe-y. I would love to see what he could do If he took the time to learn the level maker a bit more.
It’s understandable when considering he’s more of a businessman than a creator.
More job stealing I see, no matter, morning is coming.
