The anime (entitled Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV) will be a five episode series and will be free to watch online, with the first episode available now:

A trailer for Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV:

The CG movie will be called “King’s Glaive: Final Fantasy XV” and will apparently have numerous actors from Game of Thrones such as Sean Bean and Lena Headey; the trailer can be seen below:

Final Fantasy XV will unleash its action RPG goodness on September 30th worldwide for PS4 and Xbox One.

It always worries me when a game launches with "movies" and "TV shows" alongside it. It just seems like they're worried about the game selling itself, so they need to create all this crazy extra hype around it. At least wait and see if the fans even want movies and anime before spending the time and resources to make them.

It is sad to see -again, and again, and again-, a franchise this big to take such feeble-hearted turn.

They are pathetically going all-out, in an attempt to live a few more years.

There is no soul in this franchise. There is no substance. Ultimately, it all comes to make money. However, at what costs?

As an old gamer, it saddens me deeply that almost all entertainment has come to be all fireworks, flashes, fx's, but no heart; no soul whatsoever.

    It terrifies me.

Will we also, as humans, end up without any substance, deprived of a souls? Will we lose our ability to criticize?

Are we past beyond the turning-point?

Yes. Even Tri-Ace is affected by Square Enix's SJW tendency.
SJW infiltration also killed Mighty Number 9, although unrelated.

Not only are the SJW permeating in the industry the gatekeepers are willingly letting them in on the Japanese side too.

Just who are supposed to be these companies' target market with the SJW pandering recently? Good luck reaching 10 million sales SE.

I guess if we are to get a good large budget JRPG this year it'll be from Atlus with P5. Its just pure Japanese culture with English dub.

I don't think the design of this game has changed much due to SJW influence, since it has looked mostly the same since the 'Versus XIII' trailers from 2008. Even then, it showed a primarily male cast with the exception of one female. It had the protagonist going on a road trip with his friends, and two kings fighting, much as it has today. It's certainly possible that they were trying to expand the game's appeal to a female audience, but they were already doing that well before the SJW nonsense took off.

What does your boogeyman SJWs have anything to do with FFXV? Also have you seen Cindy? She's showing leg, ass, midriff and cleavage. I don't even know what you're complaining about.

"Been following this game since it was Versus 13 and at the time, the character designs were finished already"

I mostly agree with your post, but they actually did make at least one major character change in the transition to FFXV. Stella, who had been the only female character really shown off much at that point, was removed from the game and replaced with Luna, who is a different character with a different role in the game's story. The story has apparently been significantly changed as well, though how much is difficult to say.

    >SJW bogeyman

    >SJW are not real y'all.

Yeah, If you think that's true fuck you with that. You haven't been paying attention to the current media climate.

That being said FFXV's current direction has nothing to do with SJWism and is down to Tetsuya Nomura's retarded obsession with hostclub and jpop shit.

Nomura is by all accounts a 45 year old edgy Japanese teenager. If you read his interview he said with a straight face that he has DARKNESS within him that he cannot contain. Yeesh.

I miss Amano and the class he brought to the series.

Been following this game since it was Versus 13 and at the time, the character designs were finished already while the other FNC FF games, FF13 and Type-0 were being made at the same time.

The character designs were already finished. Your comment about Nomura seems acclimated by FF15, because that's what you associate Nomura with right now. But you disregard his other works at other games.

They definitely didn't change her cleavage after SJW complained about it.
Its a bit close minded of you to forget that.

More like fujo pandering. SJWs are whining that it's sexist there are no "empowering" playable female characters, and that the female side characters are "too pretty/sexy."

Such an obvious ploy by Squeenix. It's pretty evident that their target demographic are 12 year old boys. They are the only ones that would fooled by this marketing crap. Either that or they believe the average gamer has the mental and emotional capacity of a 12 year old boy.

Is this not the same strategy most anime studios implement by inundating every plot with lolis and fanservice?

Most 12 year old boys go for the older women, it's (some of) the 20-40 who go for the lolis.

not necessarily. I was probably most into lolis when I first got into anime at like 14ish

Because lolis are most accessible at that age. There's probably one or two sitting right beside you to visually feast on at the time.

More on the dumb J-Pop gay side than normal gay, but you get the idea.

You're in Sankaku. If it doesn't feature a cast of lolis anons will cry "gay!" or "fucking cows!" In the case of big breasted women.
