A trailer for Nippon Ichi’s “Coven and Labyrinth of Refrain” has shown off more of its namesake labyrinth, boasting a great deal of traditional RPG action and exploration that will no doubt interest both retro players and newcomers to the genre alike.
The dark and deadly trailer, which also mentions that over 40 characters will be playable:
Coven and Labyrinth of Refrain can be explored come its June 23rd release for the Vita.
Definitely not wicked enough, it still missing a girl with a prick. #misleadingtitle #wickeddick
I don’t see why people are complaining about it, it looks really interesting, to be honest. And it is Nippon Ichi Software. A lot of their games are actually very good.
If this has numbers reaching that of other NIS games, it should have way more play value. Though if it’s just another Demon Gaze or something, meh, wasted effort. Really hope it’s gonna be a dungeon crawler Disgaea.
games gone so downhill, we classic dungeon crawler now
This doesn’t look like a PS Vita game, maybe a DS one. This might be one of the reasons, why some people thing the PS Vita is dead (maybe), because the games don’t look like they are from PlayStation or have the sexy Japanese flavor.
looks more like a java game and vita is dead, ds killed it long ago
Lolno, don’t talk when you don’t knows s♥♥t. Vita only suffered from a poor library when it first release with a lack of games and no backwards compatibility. It’s doing fine now, unlike DS games alll getting censored.
@20:38. “Is” not “was”.
Just because a user/player base is smaller than the most popular user/player base doesn’t imply it’s dead.
While the Legend of Heroes series is by all means a small niched part of JRPGs compared to Final Fantasy, it’s not a dead franchise.
See where I’m going with this?
As for sales of the vita, for the 3rd time, everyone already knows it old poorly.
@09:14
You claimed Vita was “doing fine now”, but sales & library say otherwise. Way to try strawmanning your way out of that one.
Vita is so not dead that Sony had to make a public statement that Vita was not dead.
Vita is so not dead that Sony had to publicly announce that they have not killed the PS Vita.
Vita is so not dead that Sony’s senior vice president, Masayasu Ito announced Sony do not plan to make any first party games themselves for it.
Vita is so not dead that the president of Sony Corporations, Shuhei Yoshida, pointed out that third party game developers were still supporting it.
YMMV
If the Vita is killed there will be no legal way to play PSP and Vita games anymore, since PSTV has stopped shipments due to the Vita having higher sales apparently, plus there will be less competition in the market.
I’m happy Sony didn’t abandon those who tried their handheld options. Saying suddenly support should stop is incredibly selfish.
Good job at ignoring the entire point. No one was talking about sales, exclusives or whatever else you wanted to bring up. Anyone who hasn’t been living under a rock knows vita sales aren’t great, as said above, vita suffered from a poor release.
Vita is, by all means, not dead, which was the original point.
Vita sucks kid. Not a single exclusive is noteworthy and nearly every game is a game better suited for console release.
58mil vs 13mil – Being outsold at nearly a 6 to 1 ratio, Vita flopped harder than GameCube.
