The huge library of Ghibli movies can be a chore to watch in its entirety (as if this is any excuse), more so if the watcher is ostensibly supposed to be studying – and it is these most forlorn titles which have been ranked for the hopeful edification of students.

I thought I was the only person who liked Gedo Senki. Even Ursula Le Guin didn’t like it. ┐(-｡ｰ;)┌
…but then, maybe if she’d let Miyazaki adapt her works when he first approached her in the 80s, things would have turned out differently.
Instead she was like “lol cartoons?” and some 20+ years later approached HIM, at which point he’s just like “Eh, I’m like, retiring.” and hands it off to his son. (Though I really wonder if that weren’t in some part an intentional snub for not giving him permission the first time.)
Willem Dafoe was great in English dub of Earth Sea. I’ve never read the books so I have no idea how terrible of an adaptation it was, but I enjoyed it.
Earthsea is s♥♥t. And Miazakis son Gorō starting the movie with an offbeat murder of a father? Issues much?
The Cat Returns.There was a hilarious scene where a knife-throwing performer fails to amuse the king.Underrated fun movie.
