The 10th anniversary of money and wolf-girl series Spice & Wolf has ushered in an announcement by way of Dengeki Bunko magazine, who have revealed that a sequel is currently in the works for the esteemed light novel series, which certainly suggests subsequent anime adaptations are also on the horizon.
Currently it has not been ascertained whether the sequel will be a continuation of the previous series or take on another form in entirety, though if the author has any sense for the fanbase, merely including more of the luscious Horo should be enough to appease fans.
Despite the announcement of a new light novel, there has been no information regarding a new season of the much-loved anime – the sequel will debut in the April 9th edition of Dengeki Bunko magazine and more info can be had by way of its official website.
No way we’re ever going to see another anime series, irrespective of the novels getting a sequel- they had TONS of content they could (and should) have adapted already which they didn’t bother doing. Pity. It was a great series.
and April is when volume 17 is officially released stateside, coincidence?
also SEASON 3… MOAR!!!
Please let there be a sequel to this. One of my favorites of all times, and like most anime lovers I’ve seen over 300+ shows.
Could be a story about Holo’s child.
It’s Horo.
They should kickstarter a movie for this series or something. One book(Abridged) per movie. I bet they could raise enough funds to do it, as anime isn’t that expensive to produce.
