In honor of ink-based shooter Splatoon‘s one millionth unit sold in Japan, the game’s revered squid sister idols have made an appearance at NicoNico Tokaigi for a special live 3D CG concert, which certainly pales in comparison to Miku’s more lively (and comprehensible) concerts.

The Splatoon concert:

The event has made a curious few wonder if any other fictional characters will get a chance to star in a holographic performance of their own, and if anyone would watch it if they did…

It would certainly be an... innovative idea to have virtual idols sing "blrlbrlbrlbrlalralb blallbllrblrlbrallr"......?

The are speaking in the splatoon language witch is giberish. if you played the game you would know everything they say is translated hence the subtitles during the few talking parts. They are also singing it the splatoon language as well.

Keep in mind that you replied to someone who understands 5% of said gibberish - a pro at splatoon language.

I think it was shown that the Squid Sisters (along with the Inklings and Octolings in-game) were voice acted, though the voices go through a ton of filters.

Also, the gibberish is gibberish (though with a speech pattern similar to Japanese, made by Japs), but well thought out gibberish.

Urgh, to me any Squid Sisters fanart is a thousand times better than the official character models. Plus that "dancing" ... can barely stomach this

Nah, man, the real deal all the way. Shitty fan art never quite captures the pure fuckability.

I thought the fighting Inklings were supposed to be kids and the Squid Sisters were adults? They look like kids here... C'mon, Nintendo! You made whatever Candy Kong ver. 2 was... Even just in concert, they should have done them like "taka-michi" does.
