Never played Valkyria series before, maybe I should start playing from this series. Or I might wait for the future series.

Play at least the first one, it's the best of the series in story, gameplay and technically.

No word on a PC / vita release yet? This might be the game that finally forces me into getting a ps4 if that's the case.

It says right there in the trailer that it’s “PlayStation 4 only”.

    Can Vita handle this?

Gal*Gun 2 running Unreal Engine on Vita already takes 2-3 minutes to load and is dog slow between scenes.

So is this game a remake, a sequel, a re imaging or what? I can figure it out.

It's an effort to make more money by using a formula which has worked before.

The technology shown seems to imply that it's at some point in the future, though that could be explained by the developers just wanting to make stuff look cooler. Can't really say for certain.

Or alternative universe. Or a re-imaging (a reboot).

    It's basically:

Exec 1: People seem to like this sort of shit. They pay good money for this.
Exec 2: Let's milk these assholes. I have a second yacht I need to pay for.
Exec 1: Let's give these fsckers what they want and get the cash.

As a fan of the original game I must say that this does not look very promising. They took something that was fairly unique and made it into what looks like your average JRPG.

I can only hope they will prove me wrong.

You have my sniper, and my assault rifle, and my flamethrower.

They don't have to prove anything, it's 'fans' like you that drag games to loss making and non-existence because you have ridiculously arbitrary expectations.

Are you fucking serious? VC 1-3 are tactical strategy games. This new abomination is a run of the mill JRPG.
Does the guy have "ridiculously arbitrary expectations" for expecting something similar to the series he likes? Fuck you.

How do you know it will be an jrpg? All you saw was the intro video. There were 2-3 seconds of gameplay in previous videos but you just can't judge the game from 2-3 seconds. I mean, you CAN but then you sound like the retard you are.

Instead of quasi 1920s Europe why not make it 1920s/30s Japan with invasion by Imperial forces of the mainland of Asia? Add Comfort women, Nanjing, chem warfare and so on?
