Localization team invaded by SJW. Content was already censored. Not going to play. Don't need some Moral asshole telling me what i should and should not be seeing in video games.
Now, the big question is how much they changed, edited, and removed while localizing the game because several of their employees were oversensitive babies who thought the ass-and-titties MMO was too "culturally inappropriate"
One person on the team openliy admitted that he changed an entire quest because it made him feel uncomfortable and it was misogynistic to him.

While there is someone who has claimed that, trip reports from a friend of mine who's played the JP, KR and the EN versions is of the opinion that very little was actually CHANGED between the English release and the original.
There should be a question posed to all potential localization staff? "Are you a leftist?" If so, application goes in the trash. Problem solved.
They even added a layer of censorship to Xenoblade Chronicles X too lol. The boob slider option has been cut from the NA/EU version of the game, so you can't give yourself huge boobs no more.

Japanese sounds have A LOT more audio files than the English, almost everyone talks to you. sidequest NPCs, to going inside a place and them saying, irashaimasen.

doubt youll be back here, but just google japanese voice pack for blade and soul, don't use a patch, literally crate a folder in what your equivalent to this, "contents\Local\NCWEST\ENGLISH\CookedPC" is, and make any folder name, I believe all names count, name it jap for all you want, and put the upk files inside the folder, when you launch itll ask you to confirm every file. Just hold enter, should take 10s.

Agreed. Really the only surprise to me here is male characters exist.
A lot of people play their own gender in games as it feels weird to use another gender. That's not hating on guys that use female avatars, but see it from both sides. I'd never use a character of the opposite gender in a game, even if we had SAO/Accel World type technology/games.
I play girls when I can and I'm a guy. I find the customization better on girls, and they are cuter. Not really about tits and ass, I made a loli race character in this game. Only times I make a guy is when it's meant to represent me, like a Mii or something.

An anime follow game's story or it own?

I'd probably be all over this game since I'm a fan of sexy female characters in video games, but my god why do they look so off in this game? Unrealistic proportions are one thing, but spider like legs with thunder thighs, tiny heads, and various other things just make these female characters look like weird alien creatures that are attempting to look human. Its just uncanny valley territory for me.
In the character creator you can adjust stuff.
Being unrealistic is the thing when it comes to anything related to anime and it's games because the law cannot touch them as they are considered as non-existence.
Guess you haven't heard of the case with Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, although some says it weren't really targeted by SJWs and the likes but who knows...
And yet, we're on a site filled with unrealistic anime and heavily modified cosplayers.
I haven't had a chance to mess with the game, but I imagine you can adjust all that during character creation?

I'd be enjoying this a lot more if I wasn't getting 20 fps in even barely-populated areas...on a GTX 970.

I would advise checking on and improving your processor perhaps, I get at least 30-40 fps. Unless your area is just way much crowded than mine I seem to be doing fine. I have a GTX 970 as well.
I have a GTX 970 with everything maxed out at 1920x1200, I had a drop to like 5fps once, there was like a bunch of people standing on one exact spot and they were glitching out or something. Otherwise I get 60fps.
Blah blah was writing too long, if you have a good video card and low fps in Blade and Soul, and you are using more than 4 cores that is probably the issue. I had a 8350 8 cores, and only way I got a lot better fps as in it didn't drop was to overclock my processor. Blade and Soul is mostly single core processing.
You have problem then I'm getting 60fps most of the time and I don't get under 50 fps even in heavy populated areas. I'm using a 770GTX.
It looks nice, It is a shame the story has been butchered by censorship.
Censorship and "fanfiction" too... Seems like a lot of quests have been rewritten for some more than dubious reasons and sometime the NA/EU quests' stories are completely different from the Korean release...

@08:06 yeah, I agree with you on this. But muricans in general won't admit to any mistakes or crimes and often pull out the "they did worse" card whenever the need arises. Many of them continue to believe that their country is prefect and the fault lies with other countries.
Also a time travel story that became a travel inside someone's memories. A number of character whose personality and goals were changed to some nonsensical degree,... There is really too much to enumerate...
something about rape changed. The fact they don't understand that its fiction shows they aren't meant to handle such media. american media contains tons of rape plots so the only possible reason this got changed is that muricans hate such controversial content from other countries.
