Girl on the left of the 1st picture probably doesn't understand, that this scene is so awesome mostly because of Kumiko expression.

looks can be deceiving with heavy make-up and all.Either they are minors or late 30s-something.
The biggest problem is that Reina is taller here than Kumiko, whereas it should be the opposite.

That's not a euphonium, it's a Wagner tuba.
Noticed it immediately and could not unsee it. Killed it for me.
For them it was probably close enough.
Strange thing is though that the euphonium is a much more common instrument than a Wagner tuba, which outside of Germany or Austria you'll probably only ever see in opera house orchestras.
