Yes Yes YEEEEEEEESSSS!!!! I have been waiting for this light novel to finally be animated and was skeptical since its being made by STUDIO DEEN,but overall it looks like it might make a great adaption out of the series. Then again its just the first episode. Hopefully they keep Kazama's messed up attitude, Aqua's habit of making things worse, Megumin's worse habit of blowing things up everyday, and Darkness's masochistic displays of chivalry.
A question to those who read the novel: is this considered harem by the way since in the novels several girls do seem attracted to Kazama but that just may be my imagination.

Well, at least this one works well as an RPG parody unlike all the current RPG parodies that pretend to be serious stuff
I'm not so sure about other RPG themed anime pretending to be serious, much less parodies depending on what you seek in such shows.
I personally likes RPG setting that have to do with status, weapons and armors, it is a plus if magic is involved. So for me, I'm not so picky about the standards imposed by netizens on how a good story should be. I like what I like and not insult other people's tastes just because something isn't my cup of tea.

I hear what you’re saying about looking for a different aspect of a show and that’s reasonable. But there’s nothing inherent in a show about an RPG that requires it to be bad. Note… I’m not saying this show is bad. It was a lot of fun. I’m just saying in general. Just like you can have a high school harem comedy that’s good or bad regardless of whether people like high school harem comedies.
