The only legitimate possibility is if they’ve really developed a great offline translation system (extremely unlikely), and want to avoid hackers at all costs (which would be relatively easy if you can download an .apk and reverse-engineer it), so hacking such an embedded system would involve hardware tools, expertise, and maybe wouldn’t run on anything other than the device they’ve made (extremely unlikely too, because it’s probably just an ARM chip).

Only time can tell, but I bet offending feminists is going to help sales a huge lot; recently everything that offended the PC crowd and SJWs is bathing in ungodly profits, while those who pander to them are getting losses.

Voice recognition software nowadays often fail if you don’t speak WORD.BY.WORD and even if you do, they wont recognize slangs. That and the fact that no translation can accurately transfer the ‘meaning’ of what you said makes me think that this thing won’t work at all. The video is fake of course.
