If it’s on SanCom and deals with social justice issues/outrage culture, it’s guaranteed to be a sarcastic remark.

That being said, the demo was certainly questionable; it’s a typical ‘brutish, alpha bro foreigner’ trying to make out with Japanese chicks. I don’t care who’s doing it, or what country they’re in, it’s downright weird to just ask random women for kisses, hugs, etc.

Of course, as Rift mentions: “Skeptics however believe that the video might have merely been an attempt to generate attention for the device, controversy be damned”.

Cool tech though, I hope it comes to market quickly and isn’t a kajillion dollars.

  Voice recognition software nowadays often fail if you don’t speak WORD.BY.WORD and even if you do, they wont recognize slangs. That and the fact that no translation can accurately transfer the ‘meaning’ of what you said makes me think that this thing won’t work at all. The video is fake of course.
