I’m not saying that caring about others is wrong, just that Japan and other repressive economies that are only about work lead to people not being able to afford children.

I don’t know, if you find someone who’s nice to you and that you like and get along with naturally, you might change your mind. That said, even if you do, you may want to consider not having children until you’re very VERY financially stable. It’s not relationships that can kill you, it’s the cost of raising children.
