As a person who has learned verbal Japanese to a degree of fluency despite only being in Japan once in that past 13 years, I think all of this is too extreme. People wonder why Japan’s birth rate is declining, and I would think that censoring, merchandise, and the eventual widening of the gap between males and females that is being formed in Japan is the cause. I remember when uncensored content was being released straight from the producer! I mean, how immature do you have to be to feel the urge to force everyone to censor anything they draw or create? That’s like saying I can draw a penis, but it has to be censored and made into something that resembles a light saber! You wonder what a real socially inept, shy, and pseudo-sexually influenced person is, and Japan is basically a factory to produce those types of people, especially males. Most Japanese persons involved in anime, manga, eroge, and hentai based merchandise essentially pay for nothing. Why? There is little to no cost of producing any of those virtually based content, so it is as good as throwing money away. The only reason why these CDs, pieces of paper, plastic, and cloth is sold for such a high price is because people give them value. Japan’s economy in the past few years has been slowing down, and I’m pretty sure which industry is responsible for making it so people buy any material imbued with Otaku related contents prices far over the production cost. South Korea is already as bad as it is, with some of the highest rates of suicide, prostitution, depression, and social isolation, but Japan is nearing that stage, step by step. Shame on Japanese politicians for being immature as well as anyone who is dealing with something that is none of their business.
