Text will be gorgeous alright, characters are getting a slight increase in resolution (or a simple aliasing)…

But they just applied a SNES-emulator-quality Super Eagle or HQ2X thing in the pre-rendered background. Looks like everything got a dirty brush treatment.

The real bad part is that the same effect is also applied to the FMVs:

So, it’ll not be as good as anyone would want to… but still not nearly as bad as FFVI’s treatment.
